Are celebs so different from you and me? Not necessarily. When baby's on the way, the excitement, anticipation and planning are just as sweet!
While her TV character Amy Gray suffered an unfortunate miscarriage in the name of TV drama, actress Amy Brenneman's real-life story is much happier. The Judging Amy star is excitedly awaiting the birth of her second child in late May.
"We were hoping and planning," says Brenneman of the pregnancy, which has been trouble-free. "My body is happy being pregnant. I had a good pregnancy with Charlotte too." The actress is trying to prepare her four-year-old for the new arrival as best she can. "She says 'baby,' but I don't know if she really gets what's going on," says Brenneman. "She likes babies a lot, so I have a prediction that for the first couple weeks she'll actually be fine. And then when she realizes that it's not going anywhere..." She trails off, suspecting that her daughter won't easily adjust to losing her only-child status.
Brenneman, 40, and her husband, director Brad Silberling, know the baby's sex but are keeping that news, as well as the names they're considering, private. "We have different tastes in names," she says. "I'm more classical. I say give the kid something elegant."
